Feeding schemes at 3 Primary schools

Although most schools in poverty stricken areas receive food from the Department for feeding schemes, we support them by providing them with vegetables as a compliment to the meal. We use volunteers from the community to cook for the children. Together with the food from the Department and the vegetables we serve them with a nutritious meal 5 days a week. For 90% of these children this is the only proper meal that they receive for the day.

Since we have started with the feeding scheme there has been a remarkable increase in the children’s concentration in the classroom as well as their cognitive abilities.
